Steve Decker has helped dozens of non-profits achieve their 501c3 status, and provided training to hundreds of organizations in need of guidance. Steve focuses on providing organization specific training to Board Members, executive teams and groups of non-profits that partner together.
In Steve’s own words:
I have extensive managerial experience in the nonprofit sector and a record of overcoming serious external and internal hurdles that organizations have faced. I have 13 years of Executive Director experience in different companies. During my time at the California Long-Term Care Education Center, I was recognized with a Medicaid/Medicare Innovation Award for my evidence-based approach to training direct support staff, with $11.8 million to conduct research on my programs outcomes. In my time as Interim ED for FOCUS, I was able to correct severe record-keeping and financial difficulties. Most recently, I have run the Family Support Council in NV, growing it in 4 years from 4 staff members and a $300K budget to almost 70 employees and a budget of over $2million/year. I feel my talents can be of greater impact in the world and have launched 501 Coach to address the needs of so many non-profits that can grow and meet their mission statement.
I’ve also recently been recognized as a national leader in the nonprofit world by Northwestern University and the Allstate Greater Good leadership program. I was named one of the top 15 Executive Directors in the US, 2018.
